Sliders are a great way to enjoy last night's roast all over again!
The holiday season always brings back pleasant childhood memories. Every December, my brothers and I would be finishing up schoolwork while preparing for the school's winter concert. We enjoyed performing in the chorus, concert band, and jazz band. Once school was out it was time to spend time with family and close friends in the neighborhood.
On Christmas Eve and Christmas Day our mom would be in the kitchen creating mouth-watering dishes. The various spices that she used created an aroma that you could smell as soon as you entered the house. Everything was seasoned to perfection. I used to love how ham, roast beef, and turkey would be left over for a day or two afterwards. It's the perfect setup to make great sandwiches!
This year I couldn't travel overseas, however, I'm happy that I was able to cook a juicy roast beef that momentarily made my Tokyo condo smell like Christmas at home.
Making roast beef sliders the next day was an added bonus!
